Giveaway and Super Moon

Do you love to paint your nails but hate it when it chips off the next day? Good news! Nail shields is a faster technique for your nails to add a little spunk and personality! When your nails are completely covered in nail shields with your desired look, you can continue right along where you had left off with your chores rather than sitting and waiting for your nails to dry in front of a fan. Are you a manicure type of person, or a pedicure type of person? Well, with these nail shields, you can't resist to be both a manicure and a pedicure type of person with just very few simple steps! It's easy! Click here to get the idea.

I have participated in a GIVEAWAY that Abby from Robots in Trouble is hosting and I hope you'd do the very same! Click here to read all about it. The purpose of participating in this giveaway is to help Suzzie meet her scholarship goals! More information is on her awesome blog! :)

One more thing. I hope you all did not forget to check out the Super moon at night! According to Mercury News, "Tonight’s super moon will appear to be 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than normal full moons as it takes its closest pass to earth all year."

It was so beautiful that my camera was unable to capture its details and the full bright lighting of it! Which is why I hope all of you were able to witness it for yourself. :)

I admire creative-minded people

Everyone has that one band or artist that makes you go, "AHHH! I LOVE THEM, I LOVE THEM, I LOVE THEM!" when you hear them play on the radio. For others it may be The Backstreet Boys or Britney Spears... but for me, it is MEG & DIA!

I have kept up with Meg & Dia before Dia Frampton became known to the world from being runner up on The Voice of last season. When I heard Dia Frampton perform on stage in The Voice of this season, I started screaming all loud and obnoxious as if I was placed on a seat in the audience!

In high school, I was in some kind of rock/indie phase that I even had my appearance go with my taste in music. Especially the hair. You know me and hair.

I slowly stopped listening to the bands that I used to listen to back in high school because I realized they were mostly about self-destruct, yuck. I was only a fan of poetry and the creative thinking, so I stuck with the cute Frampton Sisters until today!

Meg & Dia is one of the bands that I have kept up with because I dig the way they write their own lyrics and how they portray each situation in a creative manner. It is so artistic, yet has so much meaning behind it. Even their choice of style and clothing just sets the whole mood shown in all of their music videos. They seem so chill and laid back, no pride, just them being who they are. Anyway, just thought I'd share and help make their creative work of art known. :)

They're awesome. Check 'em out!

To end this post, I just want to say, Happy May everyone! Lately, the weather has been really warm in Northern California and it feels just about right! My dad just built a hammock on the tree that is centered in our huge backyard! So now I will go swing on it and embrace such fairness the warm air brings!

A beauty tip? I suppose!

For the passed few days I have been saying, "No!" to heat and "Yes!" to five alien antenna buns on my head! And the results of it? Okay, don't laugh at my face.

I was impressed on how the volume turned out, even though I am aware of the fact that I need to tame my hair to go in certain directions. I'm a huge dork fan for big hair and that known saying, "My hair straightener is my best friend" wasn't going to work out between us. So for a while I won't be applying unnecessary heat because hair is just too precious to sizzle up, split and then die! Besides, I'm trying not to damage all the hairs on my head because I've been striving to grow out this part of my hair where it was shaved above both ears. And no, just to make things clear I was not in a cat fight and had chunks of my hair pulled out. There's this thing with me wanting to try everything different and unusual with my hair. The growing process was pretty embarrassing if you ask. It stuck out like hairy armpits at one point! So with that look of disgrace being said, I did my research on types of fortifying shampoo and conditioner and found me a winner! Today I bought Mane N Tail shampoo and conditioner that they also use on horses. I don't know why this hair product has been hiding from me all of my life because apparently everybody knows about it but me! I've read so many great reviews from others around the world about how it fastened the growth and length of hair and prevents breakage. I am pretty darn excited that I am going to test it out right about now and let you know when there are any changes!

Well I have finally reached the end of my ramble, so that's today's random beauty tip for ya, get the unicorn shampoo! :)

MLIA Birthday

Since it was my birthday yesterday I went and got wasted because I turned 22 and YOLO!

Okay that was a joke.

This is more my thing:
I spent my day doing what normal girls do, such as shopping, eating senorita bread, and grubbing on some fried chicken from Max's with these ladies:

But that's not all!

We went THRIFTING!

My lovely treasures?

A denim tube top with a ribbon tied at the back: $1.98
A gray side zip-up sweater with a fancy collar: $0.99
A blue gingham button up: $2.98

I would be stupid to pass up these branded items and get them at a higher price elsewhere!

But that's not all!

I came home to a pink card from the boyfriend because not only did I turn 22 years old, but the boyfriend and I turned 10 months old!

But that's not all!

With a lovely cherry on top, that day I got hired at a home care that provides training to become above a nursing assistant. It deals with children with special needs. Today I took a tour around and I liked what I saw. It is a friendly environment indeed. I am not really nervous, I am just anxious and hoping I get along well with others because it involves working as a team. I want to prove to them that hiring me is no mistake! Wish me luck.

But that's not all!

That night I saw a box on my doorstep. The first thing that came to mind was, "There he goes again!"

This time it came with a box of chocolate!

I showed the boyfriend how cute the bow looked while wrapped around the box of chocolate and he said, "THAT'S GAY." :(

Every time I get a box of flowers, it comes with a cute little message from him. I am going to start collecting these like Pokemon cards.
So far I have 3:

But that's not all!

My sister came running at me, screaming and yelling in my face saying, "Happy birthday!" And brought me home a chocolate cake:

So maybe I didn't have a planned birthday party that day, but I still got cake, flowers, and unexpected packages and gifts!

And by the end of the day, I had the most satisfying birthday I've ever had. Yet I am still not done celebrating.

MLIA

That's all.

All about Moon

I can't wait for that day when I can finally take Moon out on walks at the nearby waterfront where we always took Star!

I can't wait for that day when I can finally bring Moon to Petco for her nail grooms ONLY for $8.00! At the local vet, nail grooms are about $20.00. Yeah, I definitely wouldn't mind Petco prices!

I can't wait for that day when Moon no longer pees from sudden excitement! She's still a puppy, so I will just excuse her for not being able to fully hold her bladder yet. Although I have to admit, I get slightly offended when I come home from her running up to greet me, and she doesn't pee for me, but when she greets my sister, she would rather pee for her. I made a deal with my family that whoever she pees for from excitement, they have to be the ones to clean it up no matter who the mommy is - and it will not be me!

I can't wait for that day when I can travel with Moon and even when I have to grow up, move out, and do what grown-ups do, I can't wait to bring her wherever I go!

I can't do some of these things for Moon yet, not until her vaccinations are complete. She has two more shots to go! TWO MORE MONTHS and I will be thrilled to take her out on walks, bring her to Petco for a groom, and even move happily with her when I have to be a grown-up! Once she has all of her shots then she is safe to chill in dog parks and make friends!

When did Moon happen?
Moon is a 4 month old puppy that I've had for about 2 months. She is half Pomeranian and the other half I am not quite sure and I don't want to be wrong. One day, the boyfriend drove all the way from SoCal to the Bay just to surprise me with this pup! When I first saw Moon, she looked like this and like this! Yup, those were her floppy eared days! Moon loves meeting new people and new people always end up loving her because of how sweet is she is!

 Floppy eared days
Straight eared days
Moon gives hugs and never wants to let go!
